Mythology and Mythological creatures. Do you have interpretations or theories on stuff?
Here are some of my examples-
Bakenekos - The weird supernatural stuff they can do is mostly illusions that they whip up for whatever uses they please.
Necomatas - Basically a full grown and mature Bakeneko, their energy has become so great that their body has grown to support their new found powers (They get to be as big as a large dog) Their tail also splits in two but not in the way imagined. Due to all that extra energy they now have their tails have basically disintegrated and are now replaced with raw energy.
They are also more unpredictable, once they turn into Necomatas they will soon find out that keeping the demon side of them in control becomes a very hard task, if they fail to control it they become man eating monsters that run completely on demonic instinct.
(After reading about the myths it's obvious that most of them where pretty horrifying creatures, especially those that ate people and took their identities.)
