The night air was frigid and stale, it was nothing out of the ordinary for the demon that had settled down here.
Shas at first had greatly disliked Boston, it was crawling with other supernaturals that for the most part where too much to handle. At least she had somehow managed to find a job that paid well, maybe she would stay here a bit longer if she could reel in a reasonable amount of dough.
Who knew humans where so gullible, not being able to tell a mere illusion for the real deal. She could supposedly 'summon' the spirits of the deceased and make them appear before their loved ones...and hey it paid well too.
All she had to do was flick a bit of her fire skills and it was like taking candy from a baby. Maybe just maybe she could settle down here for a few years and start a semi reliable business.
The thought of resting for a few years made her slip a small grin, this was going to be an interesting turn of events that actually would benefit her. About fucking time she could calm down and not worry about where to get her next meal or picking out her next fight.
---
Shas had entered a small cafe, it was nice and wafted with the smell of fresh coffee. And to make it more curious it was called 'Friends Cafe' and along with the name it appeared to be littered with pictures of pets. She guessed it must be some sort of cafe for pet lovers...
she felt at home here, a bit prideful if anything. At least here she could talk about cats without being given a weird look, here she was partially home.
--
It was a few minutes before she decided to order a strawberry latte and a bag of cat nip (Supposedly for her pet cat at home) and sat at the furthest table on the left side that possessed green paw prints on it. The view from her spot was quite incredible, it was a full view of the sea side. Boats occasionally passing through.
Without further distractions she glanced around to make sure she was not being watched and grabbed a pinch of catnip to put into her latte. Something that was quite normal for her, she was quite fond of the plant, it calmed her and lulled her senses to some extent...something that was her version of getting drunk.
Well everything was actually beginning to turn into good luck as of late.
