It was a cold morning, something that was unpleasant but manageable...
Shas had awoken after a longs nights sleep, she sat up as a few shudders where sent down her spine as she stretched and tried to warm up a bit.
Naturally the youth found herself on the top of an abandoned building. Her usual sleeping place, rarely would she manage to pull out the cash needed to sleep in an actual inn or rent out a decent room in some place. But at least being a demon kept her alive, just like her father had told her...
' Every Bakeneko and Necomata has a fire burning inside them, it is their soul...burning and wild. It is what makes us who we are, what you do with it is up to you... daughter. '
And so she had lived remembering his words for the past 86 years, wondering where he was or what he was doing. Despite him being the not so good partially absent father that deep down she knew was just like her. A creature that drifted around, a creature without a purpose...seeking danger and causing chaos in hopes to feel fulfilled.
Actually she shared a lot with him, she was always his favorite...
But now after so many years Shas could only wonder if he had forgotten about her and chose a new favorite. And the mere thought of being forgotten made her stomach twist, when she left Shas knew she'd be leaving everything behind. For the first few years life...life was beautiful, she was free. But after decades something began to creep in, an emptiness that gnawed at her soul...She wondered if this was the same reason why her father had decided to live with the humans.
And her case had actually gotten worse, as of late she had been getting in quite some trouble. Actually she had almost gotten shot or torn apart by wolves after taking a wrong turn.
--- A few hours later
Shas had started to look for a decent cafe to get something to end the hunger that lingered since yesterday, she had a few dollars to spare and anything looked nice if it was edible.
Eventually after searching for a few minutes the youth had finally found a decent cafe, the smell of freshly baked goods made her all googly eyed and without hesitation walked in. All the different options behind the glass had almost made her mouth water but she refrained from doing so because...that would be very gross.
After a few minutes of looking at all the options she decided to order a tuna sub, being partial cat it should have been obvious. But Shas was currently in the mood to just eat and then do something and hopefully not get into some danger...again.
