Tall, slender, toned, hourglass figure. Her legs go on for miles and her eyes are so bright you’d think she could see right into your soul. Her natural black hair falls generously at her mid-back, and is most often seen in loose curls with large side bangs. She almost always wears make-up, most of the time having a brown or black smokey eye with her almost unnaturally long lashes and a nude-pink lip gloss. Her skin is like a tinted porcelain, never too dark or too light.
Appearance Refs: Main Reference by Kyoux
Personality: Confident, caring and genuine, her personality bends with whatever situation she’s in and what is called upon her in that time. She can be snarky and likes to pick fights, she'll reprimand anyone who is out of line. She can get quite defensive, and in her moment of defense all hell breaks loose, but she tries to override that part of her fiery personality.
Relationships:
Jacob Smirnov – You don’t really count as a father figure in my life, deadbeat.
Rebekah Everett – You’ve been the best mom anyone could’ve asked for, despite everything we’ve been through and everything you’ve put up with me with, you’ve staid strong.
History: It wasn’t your traditional family by any means, but it was her family. It was a group effort in raising Hayley, with her mother struggling to support her as well as go to school; Rebekah was up to her neck in work and late night studies. So Hayley’s uncle and grandmother stepped in to help, and it was the four of them for the “good” years of Hayley’s life, the innocent years. That was when she used to believe that she was born without the help of a man, that her mother had made her in her womb all on her own, like I said… innocent years.
After a while, Rebekah married Captain Charles Brown of the U.S. Army, who already had two boys of his own who Hayley quickly took in as brothers. Things were great for a while, but all good things must come to an end… right? Moving around the country from state to state; grew stressful weeds in the marriage and led to divorce. Everything snatched away, uprooted again, moving to her 9th house and 5th school. Growing up as an only child and without a father figure around, Hayley became independent and rebellious. She never wanted to go to school, and rarely did, and when she was in school she tended to question those in authority and practically spit on their words and rules. This was the beginning of a long and hard road ahead of her.
Hayley discovered her ability to find people, especially her father whom she had never met. I guess you could say it was the “blood bond” that made it so easy for her to find him. She tracked him for years over the internet, trying to find reasons and answers to her never ending questions. Who are you? Why did you leave? Was I not good enough for you? She had so much pent up anger built up towards him, and yet she couldn’t find the heart to meet him face to face and beat him to a pulp like she did frequently in her dreams, instead she wept.
It was around her 16th birthday that he e-mailed her,
“Dearest Hayley,
I hope this is you… if it is, I know you have a million questions for me. And I know I have no right to barge into your life now, after 16 years. But there are things you don’t know, things you need to know, and need to be careful of. I left because I was sick, and it was changing me. Being my biological daughter, I don’t know if you carry the gene and if you’re even susceptible to this. I know this doesn’t make sense right now, and frankly I hope it never does for your sake. Just please be the good girl I know your mother raised you to be, stay safe, and keep away from the weirdos.
-Jacob Smirnov”
Hayley began to send him e-mail after e-mail with endless questions, not receiving anything back since that first letter he wrote. The accusing and questioning letters to Jacob slowly turned into broken letters of pain and insecurity, still nothing back. So she started badgering Rebekah for information, what was she hiding? What was everyone hiding from her that was so damn important to keep from her?!
Feeling more lost and confused than before, alcohol and drugs became her choice of pain meds to numb everything, to forget everything. Partying every night until dawn, one night stands, waking up in strange places and proclaiming her “love” to everyone she met. That was then though, she got away with a lot of things and only had God to thank for that, and it was God that pulled her out of that dark hole. This was now, 20 years old in Boston Mass, miss high school dropout looking for something more.
